A Community in Slow Motion

Right now, our Town is lost. We are in need of vision, fresh voices and an inspiring story.

Plans for Central Park have stalled out. A looming water crisis on the horizon. A board that can’t even make decisions right now because of vacancies and absences.

I dream of a reimagined, inspiring Firestone that is optimized for human flourishing. Easier access to nature, more places to eat and shop local, safer and smoother roads. Reliable, clean water and fiber internet for all residents. What about an organic grocery store or a co-working space?

Let’s make Firestone the best and most affordable place to raise a family in the Front Range and in doing so create a Town that maximizes thriving and flourishing for all residents.

We can dream so much bigger

You’re not crazy to not want to drive to Longmont for almost everything.

We’re good on the gas stations, tire shops and fast food. How bout an organic grocery store, local coffee shop or co-working space?

We’re so much more than an exit on the Interstate. Our prime location has so much potential. Plus, we have better mountain views than Longmont anyway!

Because of low interest rates during Covid, a lot of us are not moving anytime soon. So let’s invest in the community and build something that lasts.

Kevin Who?

I’m just a regular husband and dad that wants to see the Central Park built before my daughter graduates high school.

My ideas are simple and common sense. Clean water, safe roads, easy access to the State Park. And more local places to eat and shop so I don’t have to drive to Longmont for almost everything.

I’d honestly prefer not to do this. But after living here for 5 years and seeing such slow progress, I feel called to step up and take responsibility for the place where I live.

I want thriving and flourishing for all of my neighbors. Long term access to reliable, clean water both for drinking and for our lakes. Multiple Fiber internet options for every resident. Maximum freedom and better communication between the Town and residents.

And most importantly, a heart of compassion and love where we take care of the elderly, widowed, poor and vulnerable amongst us, partnering with churches and other organizations to do so.

A resident of Firestone since 2021, Kevin lives with his wife and daughter in the Barefoot Lakes neighborhood, is a small business owner, and an active leader at Redeemer Longmont Presbyterian Church.

No political science background or aspirations beyond this. Just a simple guy trying to help out.

May cure insomnia

Watch my interview for the Trustee vacancy in June. No candidate was selected because there has not be a quorum.

*A “quorum” means the minimum number of members who must be present to hold a valid meeting and make legal decision. There are only 3 trustees out of 6 that consistently attend. 4 are needed to make any decisions. Don’t worry, I didn’t know what that meant either.
